Key Factors to Consider When Selecting a Contractor

Here are a few factors that would make a aluminium and glass a worthy option

Experience and Industry Reputation

When choosing the best aluminium fabricators in Hyderabad, it is important to choose a contractor who has the relevant expertise in the industry. Fabricators with a proven track record can demonstrate a huge ability to handle the complex projects. Always look for the fabricators who have a diverse portfolio. The best portfolio should be the one that covers residential, commercial, and high-rise buildings.

Elite Aluminium, for instance, positions itself as a comprehensive service provider offering everything from aluminium doors to glass installations with a focus on quality workmanship. Such established players often provide better reliability than newer entrants.

Licensing and Certifications

Verify the licensing and certifications of the fabricator. In India, the fabricators and contractors are expected to comply with the IS 2553 standards, and contractors should understand BIS certification requirements. A good and professional contractor will have valid factory licenses, environmental clearances where applicable, and trade registrations.

Additionally, check for membership in industry associations or adherence to recognised quality management systems. Companies following ISO standards often demonstrate higher commitment to quality control.

Material Quality and Sourcing

The durability and performance of the aluminium and glass work largely depend on the materials used and their quality. Reputable contractors source materials from established manufacturers. For instance, Elite Aluminium uses aluminium profiles and glass from the reliable sources.

Some ideal sources for materials include

• Aluminium alloy grades (5052, 6061, or 7075 series
• Glass specifications and safety certifications
• Hardware quality and origin
• Anti-corrosion treatments and finishes

Technical Capabilities and Equipment

Professional glass work in Hyderabad requires sophisticated equipment and skilled technicians. Evaluate contractors based on their fabrication capabilities, including cutting precision, welding expertise, and finishing quality.

Exceptional contractors offer design consultation services, helping translate your vision into practical solutions. They should provide CAD drawings for commercial projects and accommodate custom requirements.

Quality Assurance and Standards

Professional contractors implement systematic quality control throughout the fabrication process. This includes material inspection, precision measurement, welding quality checks, and final testing.

Some key quality indicators include

• Consistent material specifications
• Proper heat treatment processes for aluminium
• Surface finishing standards
• Dimensional accuracy verification

The sign of a good contractor is that they will never hesitate to discuss material sourcing and provide specifications without hesitation.

Warranty and after-sales service

The professional aluminium and glass work contractors offer a comprehensive warranty on their work. The warranty should cover the materials and workmanship. Under standard conditions, the warranty should ideally range across one to ten years.

Look for the warranty terms and check if it covers the following details –

• Material defects and performance failures
• Installation workmanship issues
• Hardware functionality
• Structural integrity

The after installation support offered by the aluminium and glass contractors should be another prime factor that you should look for in your chosen aluminium and glass work fabricator. These would include maintenance guidance, repair services, and replacement part availability. Some companies offer complimentary service calls during the first year, demonstrating commitment to customer satisfaction.

Reference Checks and Verification

It may be advisable to contact other previous contacts. This should help you verify the performance of the contractor and the level of their workmanship. Ask about project completion timelines, quality satisfaction, problem resolution, and overall experience. Visit completed installations if possible to assess workmanship quality firsthand.
